Close Quarters

For Australia Day William was operating his favourite vessel, a beautiful rigid hull inflatable SACS Strider. SACS is an Italian company that make some of the finest inflatable vessels in the world. This particular vessel has nearly 1000 horsepower and handles any conditions with ease. The video is from the Australia Day Ferry Race, where the First Fleet class ferries have a race from the Harbour Bridge, around Shark Island and back again. His passengers wanted to be at the front of the pack for the duration of the race which can be a challenge due to the number of vessels around and the close quarters maneuvering that is required. He said it was even more challenging as there were six children onboard under the age of eight to keep an eye on. Safety is a priority here at Skipper for Hire but our experienced skippers are never afraid to get you amongst the action.
